Aftercare Advice
To encourage proper healing and avoid infection, follow these recommendations:
- Avoid touching your new piercing, and do not twist or rotate the jewellery
- Always wash your hands before touching the ears and earrings
- Clean with an antiseptic spray twice per day, front and back
- Be mindful of your new piercing when brushing your hair and changing your clothes
- Avoid using personal care products on or around the piercing
- Avoid chlorine pools
- Follow any instructions given by the piercer
Do not remove or change the earrings for at least four to six weeks. Continue regular cleanings during this period to reduce the risk of infection.
If you notice an embedded earring back, pain, redness, puss, or swelling that lasts longer than 24 hours after the piercing, contact us straight away.
